Creamy, Rich and Earthy - Tender Coconut Milkshake

Image
Instagram Handle Delicious Tender Coconut milkshake which tastes so refreshing is a wholesome nutritious summer beat. The best part is that, this is a no fuss recipe. Coconut is a pitta pacifier and a natural coolant as 90-95% of it is made up of water making is tolerant for all body types. Scrape the flesh from the coconut and blend it with condensed milk and sugar (optional). To be honest I am not a fan of proportions as I just see and looking at the consistency I adjust the ingredients. may add stevia if you are on a sugar free routine. Don’t use regular coconuts used for cooking as the results won’t be that great. Also do not freeze for too long as the drink may loose it's consistency. Garnish it with pistachios or almonds and enjoy your delish smoothie/ shake whatever you want to call it. Follow @travelcurls16 on Instagram for my exploration journey

Taste and Nutrition Packed in a Dessert!

Image
Banana Leaf - Chocolate Walnut Halwa It may look like an average vegetarian restaurant, 'Banana Leaf' is anything But! Me along with my mom and sister wandered to this place after our shopping and were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The restaurant is always filling up quickly, but we managed to snag a table. We ordered a vegetarian Thali and I couldn't take pictures because we were too hungry but I couldn't have left the restaurant without a picture of the dessert. Chocolate Walnut Halwa was chocolatey with bits and tiny broken chunks of walnut served in a shiny steel cutlery. Perfect texture and great consistency. Not too sweet not too less. By the end of the meal we were planning our next visit. Enough known for its reputation, Banana Leaf has always remained a perfect choice for us. This place is perfect for casual or occasional meals.

Let's Talk About the Bustling Blue City - Jodhpur

Image
We took a 5 hour road journey to reach Jodhpur from Jaisalmer. Here are some cool cheez that we did at Jodhpur - 1. Walk through the old city To be fair, the numbers of blue colored houses are few and one has to hunt a blue colored house or an indigo rooftop. And yet somewhere in the chaos , the crumbling havelis still stand tall and pigeons play across them leaving a hint of our heritage 2.Stay in a haveli turned hotel It would not be fair to stay somewhere that's not a indigo house. We totally loved the restful sleep, heritage decor, sumptuous breakfasts and roof top with a serene view of the fort. 3. Go tour Mehrangarh This fort rises 125 meter over Jodhpur making it city's landmark. It is difficult not to notice the grand door ways and balconies that welcome the tourists. This is where the Rathore's lived. The highlight of visiting the monuments of Rajasthan is the view it offers from the top. 4. Ladies here you go " SHOP...

Gypsy Women Got Leh'd

Image
This all started with a promise I had made a year ago, to a friend to accompany her to Leh.  For the love of travelling to this bucket listed destination, all other apprehensions took care of themselves. She initiated and we all followed the suit. Hence began the epic journey to the land of Lamas. Waking up irritably to the flight attendant’s announcement, the view from my window made me feel like almost free falling on the snow covered Himalayas. We were about to land precariously in the cold mountains of Ladakh.  View from the plane : Another Paradise The view was enough to take us away from the maddening Mumbai life to somewhere beautiful in matter of 3 hours. Kushak Bakula ( name for Leh airport)  is relatively a newer airport and that is where we met our driver cum guide cum fashion critic cum music playlist suggester, Mr,Tundup. LEH Jullay from Leh A visit to Shanti Stupa and Leh palace was the evening plan for the day afte...

Travel Read Eat Chill

Image
Swinging in a windy balcony of a high rise, looking at the hovering air crafts on one side, watching one of the best turf horse racetrack, wondering how peaceful the temple overseeing the Arabian Sea appears, gaping at the inspiring skyline of Mumbai and the massive open air laundry on the other side, I wonder how travelling, reading, eating and relaxing are intertwined. Moment Of Introspection This is by far the best connect I have come across. There is a strong friendship force that connects these three words especially the way it opens our mind to explore the lifestyle or culture of a certain locality. Travel Good – Try to be more than a tourist Travel is the best form of leisure.  It not only opens your mind to the world outside but also influences your outlook towards life.  Pull out the advantage of introspecting while your travel. The joy of travelling to a place can only be harnessed if the soul of the place is touched and if one is able to le...
