What Do We Trust????

Image
I happen to see this movie Talvar on 6 th October 2015. I went for it with a feedback from a friend. But contrary to my perception and his review, this movie impressed me to a greater extent. After a long time, I saw a influential movie like this. The movie is a perfect example of a brilliant artefact, extremely riveting screen play and flawless direction. I would not like to talk about the movie but rather about the inferences I drew from the movie. I saw the movie the way it was intended to ( like a dramatic imagery ) and it put me in an unusual thinking mode or rather disturbed me.  Talking about the case of Arushi Talwar , it was a double homicide case . It brought a plethora of questions to my mind about everything that keeps happening around us. The cost being paid by a family and its cruel suffering due to sheer system negligence giving it a name of honor killing. It raises many doubts about the credibility of the system which is the ultim...

A Letter To The Modern World Women..........

It does not come as a surprise that how in India women have jobs and not careers. When I am saying this, exceptions are everywhere. I am writing this not to bring out an argument as to why some women ( We) do not work after marriage or after becoming mothers, rather to brush up our minds as to why we should work. We should work for our Parents…. Just like parents have dreams to see their son make it big and bring the world to them someday, so do they have for their daughters. We should work because that is what we are taught to since the age our parents sent us to schools. Our parents wanted their daughters to be well educated, financially independent, socially- active and build a name for themselves and their family in the best possible way. We are the proud face of our parents not because of whom we are married to; but because of WHO we are... Hence we should work for the ones who brought us to this place. We should work for Ourselves…. We should work because we hav...

All of us knowingly or unknowingly do a lot of networking in our day today lives . N etworking is based on the premise that we humans need each other . It helps in building long lasting relationships and also to use our existing skills in a focused way. TRAVEL SWAG : LANKAN DIARIES

Image
F or quite some days I have been looking out for a reason to blog again . A perfectly planned trip like this just beckoned my way. Since the day the flights got booked I had made a mental note of several pre- travel – travel and post travel activities lined up for me. To gather people and to zero down to a place is not only a tedious task but also demands thorough research which was well derived by one of our fellow backpacker. We had a self- planned and pre-decided itinerary to travel  to Sri Lanka. We had short listed 4 places to travel trying to keep it short , simple yet exciting . “   There is more to you than meeting expectations, deadlines , seemingly endless web of activities or the  dull monotonous routine “ We started off with Kandy ;  Travelled along Nuwara Eliya ; Bentota and concluded at Colombo . Day 1 : Kandy , Not a place for flash packers : Very frankly  , when I landed here , I had an assumption that t...

Light Rules ....

Be it a huge reception of a top notch corporate conglomerate or an entrance lobby of a grande hotel or be it a double height ceiling corridor or the meeting rooms for discussing the corpolitics , one just cant avoid by passing this feature of an interior fit out . I am talking about the fitment which illuminates the entire space and adds an exquisite beauty , elegance and aura to the work space or home space . Lighting is a very important element of the occupier space design .It changes the mood as the perceived area of the room .Its placement and type are the fundamental aspects and work in conjunction with color selection , room size and day light availability.  I happen to work on a project for the first time where in almost 14 different types of light fittings are used in a not so large area of 35000 sft ( Ground +2) Some of the unusual and decorative fittings have made their way to this post . My idea of this post is to take you all on a picturesque ride of the v...
